I'm not sure what I think of this saying. When I first read it, I thought is was cute....but now that I keep reading it I'm not sure. Taken the wrong way it could be taken as insulting :/ But I am going to go with it's a cute saying...at least I hope. The colors for this card are from the Curtain Call Color Challenge Act 71. I think what I love most about these colors is that it makes a totally suitable masculine card. I have *such* a tough time making "man cards" so I am pleased to have a great color combo for them! I stamped an image of a birthday cake with *lots* of candles in so saffron under the sentiment. It's very subtle but it adds a bit of dimension to the otherwise fairly simple card. I also added a bit of paper piercing to add a little interest. Once again, I used the corner of my photo corner punch to make the banner, love how quick and easy that is. SO much easier than cutting it freehand that's for sure :)
materials used: bring on the cake; crumb cake, cherry cobbler, so saffron cs; cherry cobbler, more mustard dp; so saffron, cherry cobbler ink; framed tulips embossing folder; large oval, photo corner punches
So what do you think? Would you be insulted by a card that says "So many candles, so little cake"? Am I reading too much into this?? I think I am but I just don't want to send this out as a RAK and hurt someone's feelings! *sigh* I think sometimes I just "think" too much *wink*
Thanks so much for stopping by today! Have a great one :)
